Yesterday the USA announced they will be sending a new shipment of rockets to the Zionist state, as well as US troops to operate the newest batch of genocidal weapons, and there is every chance they will be stopping over at Shannon airport on the way. As the US funded genocide continues at full pace in Palestine and has expanded into Lebanon, never has it been more important for us here in Ireland to stop our airports and airspaces being used as a stopover by the US military as they deliver weapons and soldiers to occupied Palestine to uphold the illegal occupation.

Yesterday thousands upon thousands of people descended on Shannon airport to demand that the Irish government listen to the people and cut ties with the US military. Continuing to allow Washington to use Ireland as a US launch pad is costing the lives of tens thousands of Palestinians and others who are being targeted by us imperialism and Zionist expansionism. Moreover, it makes us complicit. With the passing of time, Ireland will be either known as a state that facilitated the transport of the weapons of war used to kill Palestinians, or a country that stood up for Palestine, not only against its occupier, but against the main funder of genocide in Palestine, the USA.

Yesterday people of conscience from all over Ireland sent a clear message to the government, the US military, and Shannon airport; “We demand an end to the use of Irish airspace and airports by the US army. We will not stand idly by while the Irish government refuse to take urgent action to stop this illegal and lethal activity”.
